Hofmann Megaplan has introduced a new tool that could represent the biggest change in tyre fitting technology since automatic machines were first introduced some 30 years ago.

The new ‘Evolution’ device can be fitted to any make or model of tyre changer to enable it to become completely ‘lever-less’. The system is easily retro-fitted to any automatic machine, and results in tyres being fitted and removed with the simple press of a button. The traditional method of levering the tyre over the demount head becomes a thing of the past, and customers can now upgrade top ‘lever-less’ tyre fitting for as little as 10 – 15% of the price of a lever-less machine.

Also being introduced is the ‘megamount 701XL Evolution’, a machine based on the hugely popular 701XL but fitted with the lever-less system as standard.
