New megamount 401 Racing Takes To The Road

The all-new megamount 401 Racing tyre changer has already become a firm favourite with some of the industry’s best known mobile operators. The megamount 401 Racing is the very latest machine from the Hofmann Megaplan stable that is designed to be used in a mobile fitting van, working on a 12v supply. Capable of handling rims up to 26” in diameter and 16” wide, and incorporating the highly acclaimed ‘megafit’ arm for handling stiff, low profile and run-flat tyres, the megamount 401 Racing is the most advanced and capable tyre changer available to mobile operators.

Immediately upon its launch at the beginning of 2008, units were immediately installed on vehicles owned by multiple operators such as Pro-Tyre (Micheldever Tyres) and Event Mobile Tyres, as well as professional independents such as Feltham Tyres and Munster Tyres. Originally designed for the US market, where it has been on sale for some years now specifically for handling oversized wheels, the 401 has been introduced in the UK due to a demand from mobile operators for something that gives them the capability they would have from a high performance machine in a tyre bay.
