Commercial Vehicle Brake Testing
The DVSA April 2025 roadworthiness legislation primarily focuses on enhanced brake testing for commercial vehicles, particularly HGVs and trailers. This includes mandatory laden roller brake tests (RBTs), or use of Electronic Braking Performance Monitoring Systems (EBPMS) at every safety inspection. These checks must be conducted 4 to 13 times per year, dependant on the type of vehicle or trailer being tested. Warranty exclusions:
PC, printer, keyboard, mouse, screen (large display screen or tablet) and remote control (which are subject to a 1-year warranty). Normal wear and tear of items under regular use, such as batteries, consumables (e.g. printer ink/paper) - these items will be invoiced at the time of service. Problems with the equipment caused due to installation of non -ISN software on to the PC. Damage to remote control handsets. Neglect, (lack of regular operator servicing/adjustments as detailed in the operator’s manual); misuse, deliberate, or accidental damage; modifications/alterations; removal or relocation of the equipment; acts of nature (e.g. flooding, or lightning strike), and unauthorised repairs by anyone other than ISN Garage Assist approved engineers.
BT260 Heavy Duty In-ground Roller Brake Tester for Commercial Vehicles
